"A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks; a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered." Proverbs 27:12 (The Message)
How many times have we gotten a feeling in our gut that we shouldn’t do something or go somewhere? I believe that that little subtle feeling is the Holy Spirit telling us to stay away. When we listen to the Spirit, we are sure to walk in the path that God has designated for us. When we don’t, we are sure to fall into trouble. Let’s prudently walk away from trouble so that we aren’t blindsided and clobbered.
Heavenly Father, I pray that today we are so attune to your Spirit that we hear even the slightest whisper from you. Keep us from trouble and guide us into your light. Allow us to be prudent and wise when it comes to taking action. Allow us to seek your will in all we do. Keep us away from temptation and things that are intended to harm us. We know that Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10); therefore we seek your protection. We acknowledge that no weapon formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 64:17). Thank you for your guidance which leads us to all truth (John 16:13). In Jesus name, Amen.
