My topic comes from Psalm 117:1-2. It says, " Praise the Lord all you nations. Extol him, all you peoples. for great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever." This chapter of Psalm is another reason to praise the Lord.
In this life, everyone is busy doing this and that, but sometimes, we need to stop, step back, and give God a praise! When I take a moment and think back on my life, I can sincerely say, "God I thank you." I thank you for being you, and I thank you for loving me enough to spare my life. Many I cannot count the times that I could have lost my life while I was in my sin, and God said, Get back Satan, I've got my hands on her, and you can't touch her life!
As I stop to take a praise break, I'm thinking about the time when I was pregnant with my first and only child, I was a few feet from home when someone crashed their car into my car. I praise God because I could have lost my life as well as my unborn son, but God stepped in and spared my life as well as my son's life! I praise God because I knew it was his grace that kept us.
I stop and take a praise break because God spared my life when I was with ex-husband because I didn't know it at the time, but my ex was running around on me with any and every thing he could. I could have contracted diseases such as aids, but God spared my life, and I praise him for it all the time! Every time I get in my car and reach my destiny, I take a praise break. When my son make it home from school and my husband make it home from work, I take a praise break. I refuse to allow anybody stop me from giving God a praise. Psalm 149 1:1 says, " Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of saints." God loves praises from his children.
I have a question that you can ask yourself, and the question is this:
Can I praise God when I have nothing, and can I praise God when I've got everything?
I don't know about you, but I can say this much, "If God never does another thing for me, he's done enough for me to praise him the rest of my life.
I thank God for this opportunity to be a witness for him and an opportunity to magnify his name. Praise be to God, and may God bless everyone to take a moment to praise God every chance they get in Jesus' name, Amen and Amen.
