Worried over nothing “Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” Isaiah 44:8
Worrying about something is basically anticipating a bad result. When we have faith and trust God is in charge of all situations, we should have no reason to worry or be fearful. Our faith should allow us to look at all circumstances, knowing God has the situation well in hand, and His desired result will be accomplished. But, what if His desired result is not what we think it should be?
Most times, it’s probably a good thing we don’t get what we ask for. How many times have you wanted something really bad only to realize it wasn’t all you had imagined it to be? In the reverse, how many times have you dreaded something, only to find out it wasn’t nearly the terrible thing you thought it would be?
I’ve been there and done that, but as I get closer to God and love Him and trust Him more, I’m learning to roll with the punches. I do the best I can each day, knowing in the end, I will arrive where He intends me to arrive. No matter what twisted roads might lay between Him and me, it is me that wanders, not Him. He is a rock, and He never moves or changes.
